Terms & Conditions
Walking is a very safe way to keep physically active and it does wonders for your heart. If you have any health conditions and/or concerns about exercising safely, please speak with a qualified healthcare professional before participating in any physical activity, including walking.
But before embarking on your walking journey, we wanted to share additional heart health recommendations with you:
- If you are aged 45 - 79, we recommend you get a Heart Health Check with your GP. *
- They are a 20-minute check and are fully subsidised through the Medicare Benefits Scheme.
- If you are outside this age range, we still recommend you know your blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes status, and if you smoke, we recommend you quit.
- Discuss any symptoms with your GP (learn about symptoms of heart attack or stroke here)
- Learn CPR - you could save someone's life!
* Recommended age 35+ for people with diabetes, and 30+ for First Nations people
