Why walk with us?
This walking group is open to everyone and the 3.7km route takes around an hour at a relaxed pace, however you do not need to do the entire route. Hosted by the ISLAND Project team, the walks provide a welcoming opportunity to get active, meet new people, and enjoy social connection in a supportive environment. While ISLAND members are aged 50 and over, people of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join. Together, we're taking small steps towards better brain health and a more connected community. Parking is available at the Cenotaph carpark at the end of Mcvilly Drive – voucher parking is approx. 0.90c per hour and there are public toilets available.
