Why walk with us?

Young Hearts Out & About is a monthly walking group for young people (aged 18–50) living with heart conditions and the people who walk beside them: family, friends, and allies. We’re committed to creating a space where inclusion is an experience, not an event. Living with a heart condition as a young person can be isolating, confusing, and sometimes overwhelming. This group exists to connect people who get it, those navigating similar experiences, challenges, and triumphs. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, post-surgery, managing ongoing care, or supporting someone who is, you’re welcome here. We meet for relaxed, friendly walks around Canberra. There’s no pressure to commit, come when you can, stay as long as you like - coffee optional!
