Our refreshed Heart Foundation Walking website is now live - and it’s been shaped by feedback from walkers and volunteers across our community.
You can now explore Personal Walking Plans and Walking Groups in one improved, easy‑to‑use experience.
What’s new:
- Personal Walking Plans with goal setting, progress tracking, badges and device integration
- A new resource library with warm‑ups, cool‑downs, mobility and indoor walking options.
- Walking Groups with improved search, joining and progress tracking
- An easy Invite‑a‑Friend feature to help grow the walking community
We’ll continue building new features to support healthy habits and make it even easier to keep walking.

This project has been a true team effort, with input from across the Heart Foundation, as well as feedback from our walking community.
Phase 1 Completed: Personal Walking Plans
This first website release focused on Personal Walking Plans – giving you more ways to stay on track, get inspired, and see your progress.
New Personal Walking Plan dashboard and features include:
- Goal Setting, Progress Bars and Badges to keep you motivated.
- Device integration so you can sync your wearable and see your walking activity in real-time.
- A resource library packed with warm-up and cool-down videos, balance and mobility guides, and indoor walking options.
- An easy ‘Invite-a-Friend’ tool to help spread the walking love with a single click.
Phase 2 Completed: Walking groups
We’ve upgraded the group walker and volunteer walk organiser experience, improving the way groups are found, joined and managed.
As a group walker, you're now able to:
- Track your progress with your group walking log and see how close you are to your next milestone.
- Access our resource library, featuring videos to complement your walking journey including warm-up and cool-down routines, indoor walking options and seated mobility exercises.
- Sign up for a Personal Walking Plan to compliment your walking goals and preferences.
- Search for additional walking groups using enhanced information and details that help you find the right group for you.
And that’s not all – we’ll keep building in new features to support healthy habits and make it even easier for you to keep walking.
