Personal Walking Plan study

Join our study to boost your physical activity – and get rewarded!

Are you interested in being part of our Personal Walking Plan study? You could help us make our plans even better and receive a $100 gift voucher for being involved. 

We’re running a study to understand how well the walking plans are helping people become more active and meet Australia’s physical activity guidelines.

Important information!

If you are going to fill out the below form to express your interest in being included in the study, DO NOT sign up for a Personal Walking Plan until you have heard back from us with some instructions on how to proceed. 

Whats involved

  • If eligible, you'll be in the study for 8 to 9 weeks. 
  • You'll wear a research-grade activity tracker (provided by us) for a week at the beginning, middle and end of the study.
  • In week 2 you will be sent back to the Heart Foundation website to sign up to receive your Personal Walking Plan tailored to your current activity levels that goes for 6 weeks.
  • You'll complete some short surveys during the study and your walking plan, telling us how you are going. 

Why take part?

  • Learn more about your own activity levels.
  • Help us improve our Personal Walking Plans.

You can take part if

  • You’re happy to wear an activity tracker, participate in the program and answer some short surveys.
  • You’re aged 18 or older and living in Australia. 

This study is being conducted in partnership with the Mackenzie Wearables Research Hub at the University of Sydney, who are experts in tracking physical activity and improving health through technology. 

*Please note that there are limited spots so unfortunately not everyone that expresses their interest in being involved in the study will be accepted. But don't worry, if you don't get a spot in our study, you can still sign up for your own FREE Personal Walking Plan.
