Heart Foundation Walking is powered by incredible volunteer walk organisers who dedicate their time to lead and support walking groups across the country.
The annual Golden Shoe Awards are your chance to recognise their outstanding efforts and the impact they’ve made in your community.
This year, we’re excited to introduce three new nomination categories - and yes, you can nominate your organiser for more than one!
While every walk organiser deserves recognition, we want to spotlight those who truly go above and beyond.
Nomination categories
Rising star award: For volunteer walk organisers who have made a great impact on their walking group and have been with the program for less than one year.
Lifetime strider award: For long-term, consistent service to their walking group
Above and Beyond: For going the extra mile (literally or figuratively!) to help others.
State and territory: Celebrate outstanding walk organisers in each state/territory.
